Description

From a large, untitled series of actor portraits paired with poems composed by and in the handwriting of the actors themselves. Most of the backgrounds were designed by Miyagi Gengyo (1817–1880). Kunisada made a series with the same format for publisher Uoya Eikichi in the same year.
