Learn yoga in a new and inspiring place: the Panorama Room at Japan Museum SieboldHuis.

The meaning of yoga in Sanskrit is 'to connect'. Yoga is a traditional health practice that was originally created to connect the mind and the body. It is said that yoga, which originated in India, became tai chi in China, and then transformed into zazen in Japan, where it took root in the local culture.

During this course, consisting of 5 classes, you will engage in ZEN - yoga under the guidance of teacher Koumei van Zeeland a yogi and physiotherapist and holder of the Dharma name.

Classes will be conducted in Japanese.

Koumei van Zeeland

Koumei has been practicing yoga for 29 years and teaching exercise for 25 years. After becoming a physiotherapist, he studied psychology, Zen philosophy, and healing music for meditation. He has been a yoga trainer for a well-known top artist and has taught personal sessions for world-class professional athletes, Olympic athletes, and NDT dancers. He also taught special groups for people with disabilities, the elderly, and children.
