The Dutch Ikat Society exhibits Ikat textiles with Shibori technique
In association with the Textile Festival 2010 held in Leiden this year, the Dutch Ikat Society presents textile art which combines traditional ikat weaving with the Japanese shibori technique. Shibori is a tye-die method that creates patterns resembling wood grains.
