Japanese Film Festival during the last weekend of October.

On the 2nd of July there will be a second edition of Museum Night Leiden!

The annual Japan Market will be held on Sunday May 29, 2011. This year including a charity auction for the victims of Japan.

On the weekend of May 7 and 8 workshops will be held for participants of all ages to learn Yoshizawa’s original techniques, including his own invention of ‘wet folding’.

Action for Japan: fold a thousand cranes to support Japan and the Japanese community in the Netherlands.

Last Friday, March 11 the Eastern part of Japan has been hit by a massive earthquake measuring 9.0 on the Richter scale.

In 2011 the SieboldHuis will pay special attention to Japanese modern culture, focusing on Japanese youth. Four major exhibitions will be centred aound the 'kawaii' or 'cuteness' theme.

The 4th issue of The Netherlands-Japan Review is now available.

During the 'Hokusai 250' exhibition children can learn about Japan's most famous work of art: 'The Great Wave' by Katsushika Hokusai in this special children's workshop.
